Course Types:

APLH /SCPLH 1 Day course and Exam

  • APLH / SCPLH 1 day course and exam is a class room based tuition session with a paper based examination at the end of the day.
  • Times and dates are fixed (as per website)

Private 1-1 E-assessment

  • Private 1-1 e-assessment is an informal 2hr revision session with an Inn Confidence tutor with an online examination enabling same day results.
  • Time and date of the session is to be decided between the tutor and the candidate
  • E-assessment is an online examination. The venue selected by the candidate must have WIFI or an internet connection. Inn Confidence are not responsible for any connection issues.

Half Day APLH / SCPLH Revision session

  • The half day APLH / SCPLH are small informal group study sessions (maximum 3 candidates)
  • The examination is an online based exam with same day result.
  • Inn Confidence is not responsible should there be any WIFI or internet connection issues. Should this occur we will endeavour to find a suitable venue or rearrange the examination.
Please note that lunch is only provided on the full 1 day course

Requirement to produce adequate identification at the course / exam

  • It is a strict requirement of BIIAB that all candidates must provide adequate proof of identity before being allowed to sit their APLH or SCPLH examination.
  • This must be in the possession of the candidate at the time of the exam and produced to the exam invigilator.
  • Details of acceptable ID is shown on our ‘downloads’ page.
  • A candidate that is unable to produce adequate means of identification in accordance with BIIAB regulations will be excluded from the examination, will be regarded as having failed to attend at their exam and, consequently, will not be entitled to a refund of any fees.

APLH for Training

  • Many of the classes shown on this website are managed and delivered by associate companies with which Inn Confidence has entered into a training agreement and partnership.
  • Each partner company (the Training Provider) has been carefully selected by Inn Confidence because of their award-winning standards of tuition, their reliability, the high regard with which they are considered by BIIAB and their shared commitment with Inn Confidence to provide only the market-leading BIIAB qualifications for APLH & SCPLH.
  • Each Training Provider has been approved in their own right by BIIAB to deliver APLH and SCPLH qualifications.
  • Each class will be conducted in accordance with BIIAB regulations by approved tutors and following strict BIIAB guidelines.
  • The Training Provider that is running the class will send by post and/or by e-mail joining instructions and study materials to the candidate.

Health & Safety & Equal Opportunities Policy

  • Each course / exam is operated in accordance with the Health &Safety and Equal Opportunities Policies of the Training Provider that is operating the class (details are available upon request).

Complaints & Grievance Procedure

  • Inn Confidence has a Complaints and Grievance procedure, details of which are available upon request.
  • Any person who feels aggrieved by any aspect of the class at which he/she has attended is expected to raise their concerns to the class tutor and/or examination invigilator at the time of the course / exam.
  • Complaints or concerns may otherwise be raised in writing to Inn Confidence by way of e-mail, letter or fax. Such complaints should be submitted within 48 hours of a class.

Cancellation of the course / exam by the candidate

Candidates who cancel their pre-booked course / exam will incur the following penalties:

  • Cancellation received by Inn Confidence with less than 7 days notice of the course / exam date - no refund of fees
  • Cancellation received by Inn Confidence with more than 7days but less than 14 days notice of the course / exam date - £100 (ex vat)
  • Cancellation received by Inn Confidence with more than 14 days notice of the course / exam date - £50 (ex vat)
  • A Cancellation may be received by Inn Confidence if sent by e-mail, letter or fax. It will be considered as received on the date of receipt.
  • Such a cancellation notification must show the name of the candidate, the date and location of the pre-booked course / exam and the qualification type.

Postponement of a course / exam by the candidate

  • A candidate may postpone the date of his/her pre-booked course / exam to another for the same qualification occurring at the same venue as the original class and run by the same Training Provider.
  • Candidates who wish to postpone their pre-booked course / exam will incur the following penalties:
  • Postponement request received by Inn Confidence with less than 7 days notice of the course / exam date - £100 (ex vat)
  • Postponement request received by Inn Confidence with more than 7days but less than 14 days notice of the course / exam date - £50 (ex vat)
  • Postponement request received by Inn Confidence with more than 14 days notice of the course / exam date - £25 (ex vat)
  • A postponement request may be received by Inn Confidence if sent by e-mail, letter or fax. It will be considered as received on the date of receipt.
  • Such a postponement request must show the name of the candidate, the date and location of the pre-booked course / exam and the qualification type.

Cancellation or postponement of the course / exam by the training provider

  • In the unlikely event of a course / exam being cancelled or postponed by Inn Confidence or the Training Provider, a candidate will be offered a mutually acceptable alternative course / exam date, or a refund of fees.
  • Inn Confidence shall not be liable for any loss or expenses arising from the cancellation or postponement of a course / exam.

Change of Nominated Candidate

  • Nominated candidates may be substituted.
  • A candidate may be switched for a course / exam involving the same qualification, at the same venue and on the same course / exam date as the original booking.
  • No charge will be made for such a change of candidate, subject to the same joining instructions & study materials being passed by the former candidate to his/her replacement.

Failure to attend at a pre-booked course / exam

  • For candidates that fail to attend at their pre-booked course / exam without first having notified Inn Confidence of their wish to cancel or postpone the course / exam date, there will be no refund of fees.

Communication

  • Inn Confidence is committed to protecting your privacy however we may wish to send you information relating to our business and the services we offer.
